DAVID MORAIS

Title:

Multidisciplinarity — The key to Success

Abstract:

“Orthodontic treatment is often just one component of a more complex treatment involving multiple dental and non-dental disciplines. In this lecture I will address possible issues related to establishing a correct treatment plan and the need for total patient acceptance, and understanding the pros and cons related to different interdisciplinary approaches. In addition, I will present some clinical cases, which I treated “non-surgically” – highlighting my approach in surgical cases without surgery to emphasize the importance of a well-defined treatment objective, an interdisciplinary approach and treatment principles that combine myofuncional, ENT, perio, ortho, surgery, prosthodontics, among others.”
